Our new eTwinning project / Be a buddy, not a bully

Be a buddy, not a bully

Although fighting against all forms of discrimination and violence, especially bullying and harassment has been adopted by the Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, bullying in schools remains a persistent phenomenon. Bullying is recognized by the United Nations as a major factor in damaging the overall well-being of students, meaning the mental and physical health, causing early school leaving. Since new forms of bullying through social media are being  added to the problem nowadays, teachers must find ways to prevent and combat it at school level.

Aims

to provide students with a better understanding of different types of bullying

to help students to identify strategies to deal with this problem at school.

to combat bullying behaviors including teaching social and emotional (SEL) skills to increase empathy.

to improve student's English language skills

to get students to familiarize with Web2 tools

Expected results

Ss will be able to use Web2 tools

Ss will be able to manage their feelings, empathize with others, and develop positive relationships.
